Are you experiencing sadness after a big change in your life?

I help families who are struggling to manage their sadness after a big change in their life.

Life can really test you at times, can’t it?

We all experience big changes in our lives from time to time.  This could come from:

  • Loss of a loved one
  • Separation or divorce
  • Disease or disability
  • Retirement, redundancy, change of job
  • The realisation of gender or sexual orientation

Change can bring with it a lot of difficult thoughts and feelings.  Any form of big change can bring similar thoughts and feelings to those after an infinite loss such as the death of a loved one  can be difficult to understand and manage.

When you’re going through the bereavement cycle of change and loss it can make daily life feel like a massive struggle that will impact your thoughts and feelings.  It may be your feelings of bereavement are coming from:

The problem occurs when this change and loss is unexpected, leaving you feeling confused, anxious, and unsure about which way to turn.  It makes a happy and fulfilling life more difficult.

It can affect your:

  • Health
  • Relationships
  • Work
  • And general feelings about life

The thing is when the complexities of life hit you like this it can send you into a whirlpool of complicated thoughts and feelings that can leave you feeling:

  • Tired and drained
  • Lonely and isolated
  • Lack of drive and motivation for the things that used to excite you
  • Feeling a lack of control and fumbling through life
  • It’s too painful to sort out
  • If you start to cry you will never stop

How would you really like life to be instead?

You have two choices:

  • To stay the same with the same old thoughts and feelings that you know but don’t make you happy.

or

  • Do something different, be happy again, love life again, and live life again.  It may feel frightening but looking at the long term goal will give you the inner strength and courage to make that first move.

If you choose the 2nd option, this is how I can support you.
